February 9, 2008 Meeting  The February Meeting will be held at the Wellington Fair Building in Wellington, MO.  The directions to the building are: Take I-70 to the Odessa Exit (exit 37).  This is highway 131, take 131 north, cross 24 Hwy into Wellington.  The Wellington Fair Building is on the north east corner of the square.

We will be having a Taco Dinner. The club will provide the meat. Please coordinate with Judy Thompson if you would like to bring something.  816-240-2628. Remember to bring your own bowl and spoon.

The club has the building all day. This would be another opportunity to work some concentrates, share gold tales, and talk about your summer plans.  Doug and I will not be at this meeting, so please go easy on Vice-Pres.Tom and 2nd Secretary Judy.  There will be a small raffle to help pay for the building.

2ND Annual Chili Feed and Cabin Fever Meeting: The 2nd Annual Chile Feed and Cabin Fever Meeting was attended by 53 people.  It’s was fun getting together with everyone after the holidays. We worked some gold, we lost some gold.  It was a great opportunity for everyone to get together.  Thanks for everyone who brought food, showed up, or helped to clean up.

March 8, 2008 Meeting:  The main order of business for this meeting is the nomination of officers. If you would like to run for office speak up now.  We will also talk about the April Meeting at Randy and Missy Mays.  Randy is working on getting the pigs.

April 2008 Meeting: The April meeting will be the 18th, 19th and 20th.  The meeting will be held at the Mays and we are having a pig roast, metal detector hunt and election of officers.

Thermal City:  The dates for Thermal City are May 15th & 16th. Plan to attend. This is always a great time.

Final Thoughts: This newsletter is very short. Doug and I are heading to Stanton and the Gold Show.  We are leaving on January 31 and will be back around the 10 of February.  Wish you all could join us and get out of this cold weather. See you all in March.
