Show Me Gold Prospector

January 2010 Newsletter

January 9 Meeting:  The January Meeting will be held at the Wellington Fair Building in Wellington, MO.  The directions to the building are: Take I-70 to the Odessa Exit (exit 37).  This is highway 131, take 131 north, cross 24 Hwy into Wellington.  The Wellington Fair Building is on the north east corner of the square.

The January meeting is the Annual Chili Feed and Cabin Fever Meeting.  The chapter will be providing the chili. If a few people would volunteer to bring desserts and drinks that would be wonderful.  This meeting is a great time to bring any new toys Santa brought you for Christmas, for those of you who were good little miners. Bring your concentrates and work them.  Lots of people bring cleanup equipment and there is plenty of water and power inside (where it’s warm)!!

Mailing List:  It’s time again to clean up the mailing list. If you receive the newsletter by snail mail and want to continue receiving the newsletter give me a call 816-690-3596 and leave a message.  In March, if I have not heard from you, I will be deleting you from the mailing list. The reason for this is to save the chapter some money. It’s costing us about $40.00 a month to mail the newsletter. If you are currently receiving the newsletter by e-mail, you will not be deleted from the mailing list. If you receive the newsletter by snail mail and you have an e-mail address please e-mail mo_gpaa@hotmail.com so we can start sending you the e-mail version and save the postage.

AS OF JANUARY 1, 2010 YOU CAN GET THE NEWSLETTERS, OFFICER’S CONTACT INFO, MEETING DATES AND LOCATIONS AND ANY CHANGES FROM OUR WEB SITE,  www.showmegold.org   , INSTEAD OF INDIVIDUAL E-MAILS.  THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO KEEP THE CONFUSION DOWN.

NOTE TO THE OFFICERS:

The GPAA has sent us a packet asking for updated information and signatures from the officers and chapter contact information. Please try to attend if possible so we can get these documents returned ASAP.

Final Thoughts:   We are starting a new year and I can feel the excitement of the gold we will find this year.  Work as a team and all will be rich with friendship.  And maybe our pans will hold a little gold.
