October Outing:    Lathrop Heritage Days Lathrop, MO. The Dates are October 7, 8, and 9th, 2011  It that time of year for the Lathrop Heritage Days. Each year in October, Lathrop has a festival demonstrating different old time skill and crafts.  We will set up a panning demo. On Friday, there will be about 1,500 school kids come through.  We will need extra help with the kids on Friday.  We show the kids how to pan, sell them some rock and just have a good time. We will need a lot of good volunteers for this event.  There will be sale items and displays.  Come join the fun.  Camping is available (on a first come, first serve basis) some with electric and water, no sewer. They do have showers. There are also motels in Lathrop, MO.  Address 2488 SE Hwy 33, Lathrop, MO 64465.  On Friday night Alberta will make chili so bring something to go with it.  On Saturday the Lathrop event will have a Hobo Stew so bring a can of vegetables.  Due to Sharon Foster knee surgery, Doug will not be there.    Due to Sharon Foster’s knee surgery, Doug will not be there.   You can contact Randy DonCarlos, if you need any more info and to let him know you will be there.  You can answer on the moprospector yahoo site.

 

November meeting:   November 5, 2011 Mark your calendar for the All Gold raffle meeting. The meeting will be held at Wellington, MO.  Bring canned goods for the Community Services pantry.

 

No Meeting in December.

 

At our outing at Randy and Missy May’s farm, we all had a great weather, great people, and an all-around great time.  Thanks Randy the pig roast turned out mouth-watering delicious.  We had some winners of gold nuggets in the metal detector hunt.  Donna Schubert , Robert Quick, and Patrick Hoffman each won 2 nuggets.  Gary Zumwalt won the Tom and Perry clean-up kit, Shirley Kephart and Roger Hunt won the Silver dollars. Great job everyone.
